Agartala, Sept 19: The BJP held an organisational meeting at Muktadhara Auditorium here on Saturday to review preparations and finalise its strategy for the upcoming Village Committee elections.
Chief Minister Prof (Dr) Manik Saha, state ministers, MLAs, MDCs, district and mandal presidents, and other senior party functionaries attended the meeting.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, state BJP president Abhishek Debroy said the discussions focused on the party’s preparations for the Village Committee polls, alliance equations in different constituencies and organisational matters.
He said the meeting also reviewed the party’s broader organisational strategy in view of elections scheduled in the coming days.
“Alliance contests are taking place in some areas, while in others there is friendly competition among alliance partners,” Debroy said, adding that these issues were also discussed at the meeting.
The meeting also took stock of organisational programmes and election-related preparations across the state, with senior leaders discussing the party’s strategy ahead of the polls.
