Agartala, 7 October: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is one of the most popular statesmen in the world and a source of inspiration for crores of Indians, said Power, Agriculture and Farmer’s welfare minister Ratan Lal Nath.
He said that today everyone is celebrating the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan and Seva Jyoti Yatra.
This was said by Power and Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath after participating in the district-level programme of the ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ organised at Ambassa Motor Stand in Dhalai district.
“We are celebrating his 25 years of work as a public representative as a month-long Seva Sankalp. The people of the country think, ‘The builder of a new India – Prime Minister Narendra Modi.’ His life, struggle, political journey and determination to build the country are associated with crores of people of India today,” he said.
The Minister said that in 2001, Narendra Modi took over as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for 13 years, from 2001 to 2014.
“His administrative stint established him as a promising leader in national politics. Then came 2014, a new chapter in Indian politics. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the government was formed under the leadership of the BJP, and on May 26, 2014, Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of India for the first time. In 2019, the people again trusted his leadership. And in 2024, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led alliance again formed the government at the Centre, and Narendra Modi took charge as the Prime Minister for the third time. This is not a one-man daily political journey. This is also a demonstration of the power of Indian democracy,” said the Minister.
The Minister further said that an important feature of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is that the light of development should reach the people at the ends of society.
“We see that several projects directly related to the lives of the common people have been implemented. Once upon a time, many poor families in the country did not have bank accounts. But now people have bank accounts. Farmers do not only produce food – farmers are one of the foundations of the country’s economy, and they are being benefited under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. In the last decade, there has been a radical change in national highways, rail communication, airports, ports, rural roads, electricity and digital infrastructure,” he said.
The Power Minister said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the various activities of the country have been brought to the attention of the common people of the country.
“The Prime Minister has made many such schemes effective for the welfare of the people. Under his leadership, India has risen to fourth place in the world economy today. Soon we will be in third place, and in 2047 we will be number one in the world. India will again take the best seat in public service,” said the Power Minister.
