Agartala, September 17: A mega blood donation camp was organised at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. Tripura West MP Biplab Kumar Deb donated blood at the camp.
Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha was present at the programme and visited the facilities at the camp, interacting with blood donors before donating blood himself.
After donating blood, Deb spoke to the media about Modi’s political career and his years of public service. He said Modi had continued working for the people after serving as Chief Minister and later becoming Prime Minister.
Deb said India was moving towards the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat’ under Modi’s leadership. He also highlighted the country’s growing self-reliance in defence production, citing the manufacture of warships, fighter aircraft and other defence equipment within India.
Referring to the Digital India initiative, Deb said digital services had become increasingly accessible to ordinary citizens, which he attributed to initiatives undertaken by the Prime Minister.
The blood donation camp was organised as part of various service-oriented programmes held to mark Modi’s birthday, with the organisers stressing the importance of voluntary blood donation and extending support to people in need.
