Agartala, September 9: Airport Police recovered several items suspected to be stolen along with a large quantity of foreign liquor during an operation based on a tip-off. One person was detained in connection with the incident.
According to police sources, the suspect was intercepted during a raid conducted on the basis of confidential information. Several valuable items suspected to have been stolen were recovered from his possession. The seized items reportedly include AC pipes, electrical wires and other materials.
During the operation, police also recovered a large quantity of foreign liquor. Several cartons containing liquor of different brands were seized, according to police sources.
The recovery has created tension in the area. Police are investigating the source of the stolen materials and liquor, their intended destination and whether other people are involved in the alleged network.
The detained person is being questioned. Police have started the process of taking legal action and are continuing their investigation into the incident.
