Agartala, September 14: The Tripura State Election Commission on Monday held a video conference with all District Election Officers, including District Magistrates and Collectors, and Superintendents of Police to review preparations for the upcoming TTAADC Village Committee elections.
The meeting was chaired by State Election Commissioner Dr Pradip Kumar Chakraborty. Director General of Police G.S. Rao, IGP (Law and Order) Manchak Ippar, and State Election Commission Secretary Anurag Sen also attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the law and order situation across the districts, along with security arrangements and administrative preparations for the elections.
The State Election Commission stressed close coordination among the administration, police and other concerned departments to ensure free, fair and peaceful polling. District officials and police officers were directed to ensure adequate security deployment and smooth coordination during the polling process.
Officials were also instructed to remain prepared to deal with any situation that arises during the election period. The commission stressed the need to ensure a safe environment where voters are able to exercise their franchise freely and without disruption.
