Major Administrative Reshuffle in Tripura, Several IAS and TCS Officers Transferred

Agartala, September 1: The Tripura government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring several IAS and TCS officers and assigning them new responsibilities. The changes were announced through a notification issued by the General Administration (Personnel & Training) Department.

According to the notification, IAS officer Nirmal Kumar has been appointed Director of Urban Development, Agartala. He has also been given additional charge as Director of OBC Welfare and Managing Director of the Tripura OBC Welfare Cooperative Development Corporation.

IAS officer Ramita Saha has been appointed Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Khowai. She will also serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Khowai Municipal Council.

TCS officer Ashish Biswas has been transferred from his post as SDM of Kanchanpur and appointed Joint Director, Handlooms, Handicrafts and Sericulture, in Agartala. IAS officer Shubham Bhagwan has been appointed as the new SDM of Kanchanpur.

TCS officer Tarun Kanti Sarkar, who was serving as SDM of Santirbazar, has been transferred and posted as Senior Deputy Collector at the District Magistrate and Collector’s Office in Ambassa, Dhalai district. IAS officer Deepika Gautam has been appointed as the new SDM of Santirbazar. She will also hold charge as CEO of the Santirbazar Municipal Council.

TCS officer N. S. Chakma has been transferred from his post as SDM of Kumarghat and appointed Joint Director, General Administration, in Agartala. IAS officer Shubham Meena has been appointed as the new SDM of Kumarghat and will also serve as CEO of the Kumarghat Municipal Council.

The notification also relieved IAS officer Kuntal Das of his additional charge as Director of OBC Welfare and Managing Director of the Tripura OBC Welfare Cooperative Development Corporation. IAS officer Tamal Majumdar has also been relieved of his respective additional charge.

The administrative reshuffle was issued by H. Debbarma, Deputy Secretary to the Government of Tripura, by order of the Governor.
